Well 6 episodes in as of this post date. And I still largely am questioning why this is a thing? Very minor changes if the first episode dealing with a character from the village. The original anime changed the gender and name of the character, this one stays faithful the to the LN. Story at this point has been 98% the same, I am hoping that they go past the point where the original anime left off, then I'll change my tune.

Art is ok, not better then the original, and music of the reboot is not as good.

The only thing I see this doing is placating the anime fans who put an expiration date on titles. The commonly heard saying is I won't watch anything older then.. XXXX.

Pretty much every other remake has been a full adaptation so no reason to think this will be any different.
