Schoolgirl Strikers Twinkle Melodies Game Ends Service in September
posted on by Karen Ressler
The official website for Square Enix's Schoolgirl Strikers Twinkle Melodies, the "idol rhythm action" game spinoff of Schoolgirl Strikers announced on Friday that the app will end service on September 13. The staff noted that it has had difficulty providing a high level of service to customers.
The game has already ceased sales of its in-game currency "Melody Stones," and unused Melody Stones will be refunded in accordance with the law after service ends. After service ends, the staff will release a "preserved version" where players can still experience all the songs and the fully voiced story, as well as obtain the memories they have not yet acquired.
Schoolgirl Strikers Twinkle Melodies launched on August 31. Square Enix launched the original smartphone game in April 2014, and it updated on May 8 with the new title Schoolgirl Strikers 2.
Crunchyroll streamed the franchise's Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel anime adaptation when it premiered in January 2017.
