Real Account's Okushō Writes New Manga With Artist MGMEE

The January issue of Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace magazine revealed on Monday that writer Okushō and artist MGMEE will launch a new manga titled Gesen no Kanojo (The Girl In the Arcade) on the Nico Nico Seiga and ComicWalker websites next year. The "arcade romantic comedy" centers on two people who meet in an arcade. Okushō posted a photo of the announcement in the magazine. Okushō stated the manga will be his first romantic comedy series.

Manga artist Shizumu Watanabe (Kono Kanojo wa Fiction desu.) and writer Okushō launched the Real Account manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in the February 2014 issue. The manga switched to Weekly Shōnen Magazine in January 2015, but switched back in June 2018. Kodansha shipped the manga's 21st volume on September 7. The manga is inspiring a live-action film adaptation. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga digitally in English, and it released the manga's omnibus volume containing volumes nine to 11 on Tuesday.
